We are fortunate at Sunny Corner to be nestled inbetween two pretty Cornish coves, Trevellas and Trevaunance, both of which are a short walk away.
For rock-pooling and exploring head to Trevellas Cove. This little bay is not lifeguarded so please be mindful of this however low tide exposes a myriad of rockpools, all ripe for exploring. Delve into the underwater world to spot blennies, anemones, seaweeds, crabs, shrimps and other species.
Cool off in the deeper ones whilst admiring the historic Blue Hills tin mine which stands guard over Trevellas. Scour the pebbly shore for seaglass, shells and other ocean jewels or simply lie back, soak up the sun and relax – you’re on holiday after all!
To the other side lies Trevaunance Cove, at the foot of St Agnes village. Popular with local surfers the golden sands here are life guarded and great for families as well as those keen to try their hand at surfing.
Hit the waves, swim in the soothing Atlantic waters or enjoy a large scoop of Cornish ice cream as you admire the sights.
We highly recommend staying until the sun sets, position yourself at Schooners for a freshly prepared meal or sundowner then marvel as the sky bursts into vibrant oranges and reds as the gleaming sun slowly sinks beneath the waves – keep eyes out for the famed green flash too!
With hundreds of miles of coastline you’ll never be short of a beach to visit in Cornwall. Pretty Perranporth and the ever-popular resort of Newquay (with it’s seven golden bays) are a short drive away with the gentler south coast of Cornwall within easy reach too. So join us for a fabulous holiday by the sea.
